Responsibility*Scope: 1. Manage team of approximately 10 people to perform day to day application bug fixing. 2. Lead and manage reduction of failures through on-going problem root cause countermeasure implementation. 3. Report on `production` KPI`s for the application problems. 4. Develop and implement strong processes to manage the application support team. 5. Application support for Supply Chain Systems. 6. The technologies involved are a mixture of mainframe and open systems (PL1, Java, DB2). 7. Customer base is our European Manufacturing plants and head office based in UK, Brussels, Northern France, Poland and Turkey. Limited travel to these locations my be required. 8. Support call-out for critical applications. 9. Manage development of small application enhancements to supported systems.
Requirements: 1. Must have experience of managing team of 10+ people. 2. Must have experience of supporting applications in a time pressured environment. 3. Must have some knowledge of responsibilities 4&5 is required but I do not expect that complete knowledge of all areas. 4. Ideally have worked in multinational, multi site company. 5. Be prepared to be on-call on a rota basis. 6. Be prepared to work overtime when necessary to support any critical activity. 7. Because of the potential overtime it would be preferable that the person lived in the region of Derby or would stay near during the week.MSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
